Mount remote directory via sftp using usual gnome way 2. open directory with several PNGs in nautilus in "icons" mode 3. press down f3 (additional panel) and wait for crash. Its take about 3 open-close cycle. Excuse me possibly incorrect terminology, I have localized gnome and "LANG=C nautilus" doesn change language to english.
