In LibreOffice, Lohit Malayalam font has issue with Consonant+chandhrakala+R
I have already created a bug against LibreOffice
https://bugs.freedesktop.org//show_bug.cgi?id=32951
Probably same issue exist with OpenOffice also.

Step:-

1. Open new document in LibreOffice Write application
2. Copy following text into LO Write Document
   മണമാണ്‌. പിക്രൊക്രൊസിൻ, സഫ്രണാൽ എന്നീ ക്രോസിൻ
3. Select text
4. Change Font to RaghuMalayalam or AnjaliOldLipi.
5. Note how Malayalam content displayed
6. Now change font to Lohit Malayalam font.

Result:-
R symbol in combination/complex letter not moving to beginning of the
combination.

> any how is this related with this one bug #654200 ?
I dont know, the from the description at bug 654200 comment 0 it appear as issue in the input. Bug 668351 is an issue in rendering.

<out of topic>
bug #654200 occurred due to we missed an historic letter 0D3A when we first made unicode, and started using 0D31 instead as case by case.
If we redo Unicode, we should have followed rules from
http://www.malayalamresourcecentre.org/Mrc/literature/keralapaanineeyam/panineeyam.html
ie, symbols both for both 0D30 and 0D31 behave same, only difference it should make is when displayed as full letter.
And use 0D3A when sound "t" in English words "Tea, tight" was indented.

http://unicode.org/charts/PDF/Unicode-6.0/U60-0D00.pdf
0D3A MALAYALAM LETTER TTTA
0D30 MALAYALAM LETTER RA
0D31 MALAYALAM LETTER RRA

comparison of text with raghu, lohit and anjali fonts

I discussed this thing with Ani. It works proper in Rawhide and F15 with
libreoffice-writer-3.3.2.2-5.fc15.x86_64

Comment 7 Pravin Satpute 2011-04-13 08:22:58 UTC
thanks Biju for reporting this bug, it looks like now it is working properly on rawhide so closing this. Do reopen if there is still any rendering problem.
