Description Csaba Paradi 2002-07-03 20:21:25 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 Galeon/1.2.0 (X11; Linux i686; U;) Gecko/20020408

Description of problem:
I insert an Adaptec APA-1480B SCSI card in a Redhat 7.3
and the card doesn't work. ( kernel-2.4.18-5 )
When I compile a clean kernel-2.4.18 source without PCMCIA support, and compile
and install the pcmcia-cs-3.1.34 package, then the 1480 works.
The laptop is a Toshiba Tecra 8200 or a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.1.A RedHat 7.3 install on a Toshiba Tecra 8200
2.Insert the Adaptec APA-1480B card
3.The aic7xxx driver doesn't intialize the card
