Description Clyde E. Kunkel 2011-03-01 16:38:47 UTC
Created attachment 481679 [details]
installation logs up to/including failed device scan

Description of problem:
During first device scan anaconda reports:

"Disks sdb, sdc, sdd, sde contain BIOS RAID metadata, but are not part of any
recognizable BIOS RAID sets. Ignoring disks sdb, sdc, sdd, sde."

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
15.20.1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot x86_64 dvd installer
2. go into installer thru screens to first device scsan
3.

Actual results:
message as above

Expected results:
Normal installation opportunity on Intel Bios Raid 10 set.

Additional info:
Anaconda 14 does not exhibit this issue.
Creating a mdadm.conf file in /etc in tty-2 and then issuing mdadm --assemble /dev/127 creates the raid set and anaconda then finds it and the installation proceeds as expected.

Beta blocker?
