Created attachment 482932 [details] xsesson-errors log file sample 1 Description of problem: CANNOT successfully login and operate when locale set to zh_CN Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-desktop3.x86_64 2.91.91-1.fc15 gnome-panel.x86_64 2.91.90-1.fc15 gnome-panel-libs.x86_64 2.91.90-1.fc15 gnome-power-manager.x86_64 2.91.90-1.fc15 gnome-python2.x86_64 2.28.1-4.fc15 gnome-session.x86_64 2.91.90-5.fc15 gnome-session-xsession.x86_64 2.91.90-5.fc15 gnome-settings-daemon.x86_64 2.91.90-4.fc15 gnome-shell.x86_64 2.91.90-2.fc15 gnome-utils.x86_64 1:2.91.90-1.fc15 gnome-utils-libs.x86_64 1:2.91.90-1.fc15 I attempted to list some packages I think closely related to gnome-shell since I really do not know what caused the crash. How reproducible: EVERY login should locale settings set to zh_CN Steps to Reproduce: 1.To take part in today's F-15 i18n test day, I grabbed a nightly compose of today's from http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/nightly-composes/desktop/desktop-x86_64-20110308.00.iso and had it installed onto a separate partition. Due to gdm's design problem, the system was installed in en_US. 2.Then, I passed firstboot, logged in, set UI language to zh_CN via system settings, logged out and logged in, then seen the system hanged up only with a mouse cursor. 3.I switched to a tty, logged in as root, init 3, startx, and root gnome session started up well in English. Then I logged in as my own account again and startx, and it's still good with English. 4.Then I invoked LANG=zh_CN startx & and see a hangup again. 5.yum update is of NO help. Actual results: Expected results: Up and running in zh_CN. Additional info:~/.xsession-errors and several other logfiles.
