Where was this commit made?
Bryan The repository is at:https://svn.devel.redhat.com/repos/ecs/l10n/candlepin/subscription_manager subscription_manager/ja.po James
James: Should I pull from there, or will someone send the latest to me?
Manuel has sent it.
Hashida 3, Can you change translation from /var/log/rhsm/rhsm.log でご覧下さい。 to /var/log/rhsm/rhsm.log をご覧下さい。
Created attachment 487463 [details] Corrected Japanese file for Subscription Manager 25th March 2011 As the files for Subscription Manager have been submitted by Manuel with other languages already, I am attching the ja.po file here for the latest changes requested by Mr.Takemura.
As seen above, I have changed the expressions according to the request: from /var/log/rhsm/rhsm.log でご覧下さい。 to /var/log/rhsm/rhsm.log をご覧下さい。 at five locations, and attached the ja.po file in this bug ticket. James
0.95.6 will have the latest strings (BZ 688592). The menu item translation is being tracked in 684647.
As far as I started testing I found attached problems. Some page have strings ending with 'はい' and seems this is easy mistake. This must be fixed.
Created attachment 490437 [details] Subscription Manager GUI - ja_JP 0.95.6

This "yes" (はい) seems to have been intentionally inserted later by the author with msgctxt. There are many of msgctxt. Example below: #: ../src/gui/data/networkConfig.glade.h:11 msgctxt "yes" msgid "I would like to connect to Red Hat Network via an _HTTP proxy." msgstr "" "Red Hat Network に HTTP プロキシ経由で接続したいです。 " "はい" Bryan, How does this "yes" work in actual context of Subscription Manager?
Hi I tested ko_KR but this 'yes' issue does not occur. Only ja_JP?
All the error "yes" (はい) in ja.po have been deleted except for the proper yes. The file has been committed into the repository now. [khashida@khashida subscription_manager]$ svn ci -m 'deleted error yes' ja.po 送信しています ja.po ファイルのデータを送信しています . リビジョン 59395 をコミットしました。
Can you send me the latest ja.po file?
Sent latest (April 7th) ja.po attachment to Bryan by a separate mail.
Tha po file did not work for me. Can you please use the one attached. Also.. check out the string "Subscribe" please.
Created attachment 490777 [details] Latest ja.po file from the 0.95.6 version.
Bryan, Which entry of "Subscribe" are you referring to? There are a few of them in the file. A single entry "Subscribe" = ”サブスクライブ” is acceptable in Japanese usage. James
Look at line 1074-1079 of the attached file.
Created attachment 491397 [details] Current ja.po for Subscription Manager as of April 12th 2011 This is the normal good translated Japanese file.
Bryan, The file you have is corrupted for some reason. ------------------------------------------------- $ kate attachment.cgi : #, fuzzy msgid "<b>Subscription:</b>" msgstr "" "#-#-#-#-# ja.po (ja) #-#-#-#-#\n" "<b>サブスクリプション:</b>\n" "#-#-#-#-# ja.po (ja) #-#-#-#-#\n" "<b>サブスクリプション:</b> はい" #, fuzzy msgid "Subscribe" msgstr "" "#-#-#-#-# ja.po (ja) #-#-#-#-#\n" "サブスクライブ\n" "#-#-#-#-# ja.po (ja) #-#-#-#-#\n" "サブスクライブ はい" ---------------------------------------------------- I would not insert these #-#-#-#-# marks myself! My file does not show those wierd marks. #: ../src/gui/data/installed.glade.h:4 ../src/gui/data/subdetails.glade.h:8 msgid "<b>Subscription:</b>" msgstr "<b>サブスクリプション:</b>" #: ../src/gui/data/compliance.glade.h:4 ../src/gui/data/allsubs.glade.h:11 msgid "Subscribe" msgstr "サブスクライブ" Please take the current file attached in this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=491397 James
Bryan, The new attachment has got a different total line numbers. So the problem entries have got different line numbers. For "Subscribe" (Line numbers in Kate) Line # 1071 = plain and normal translation Line # 1524 = has msgctxt with "yes" I think this is corrupted in the file you had. For "Subscription" (Line numbers in Kate) Line # 791 = plain and normal translation Line # 970 = has tags <b></b> Line # 1509 = has msgctxt with "yes" and tags <b></b>. This one is probablly corrupted in the file you had Please check the rendered GUI for the new attachment. Thanks, James
fixed in 00ea2aa13382f53f670cf92366012a4138ef7a54. The resolution will be available in 0.95.7
