Thank you for your hint.

Coincidentalyl I stumbled upon this a few hours ago. I did a scratch build, you might be interested in. (http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=2997487 )

I already asked Doug Warner aka silfreed to approve me for scm commits for this package, but maybe you will update it?

Thanks for the link but I also have it in my private repositories.

Let's wait a couple of days to see if Doug Warner has time to update it
(I also have here an update to the syslog-ng specfile: I'll add it to ticket #651823).

I did read the version history, I thought, you'll have already built a version for your own.

Maybe we should coordinate this, that we don't do it both, (again)?

Comment 5 Jose Pedro Oliveira 2011-04-22 17:12:35 UTC
Mathias,

The eventlog-0.2.12-1.fc16 specfile looks good.

Could you also build and push it for
 * Fedora 15 updates testing, and
 * EPEL 6 testing
?

tia,
jpo

PS - The syslog-ng 3.2.2 specfile needs changes. I'll place comments in ticket #651823.

Comment 6 Matthias Runge 2011-04-22 18:04:08 UTC
both are on my Todo list. I got distracted by real life. I already prepared a newer version of syslog-ng

Great. BTW I have just added a couple of comments (minor changes) to ticket #651823. It would be great if you could accommodate them in the next syslog-ng build [1]. After that I will start looking into the possible blocker problems.

tia,
jpo

[1] - or git push.

Comment 8 Fedora Update System 2011-04-23 12:25:44 UTC
eventlog-0.2.12-1.fc15 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 15.
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/eventlog-0.2.12-1.fc15

Comment 9 Jose Pedro Oliveira 2011-04-23 15:04:18 UTC
BTW: As I am particularly interested in having syslog-ng in EPEL6 (no version available in the repos), I have just applied for commit rights for both eventlog and syslog-ng (EPEL6).

Comment 10 Matthias Runge 2011-04-23 15:13:17 UTC
I think, this is a really good idea!

Comment 11 Jose Pedro Oliveira 2011-04-23 17:28:52 UTC
eventlog-0.2.12-1 already built for EPEL6:

 * http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=240399

The RPMS should be pushed shortly to the EPEL6 testing repositories.

/jpo

PS - Still waiting for syslog-ng EPEL6 commit rights

Comment 12 Jose Pedro Oliveira 2011-04-23 17:37:48 UTC
Eventlog todo list:

 * change the summary: currently it only mentions v2 of syslog-ng
(s/v2/v2+/ or s/v2/v2\/v3/ or just drop the version reference)

Comment 13 Fedora Update System 2011-04-24 01:49:10 UTC
