Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2011:1565 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE anaconda bug fix and enhancement update 2011-12-06 00:39:12 UTC

Description Jiri Moskovcak 2011-05-17 08:51:21 UTC
Description of problem:
Anaconda uses python-meh which uses report to send the problem reports to bugzilla to unify configuration for the bug reporting we've created a C library which should be used in every application which needs to report some problem. The plan is to provide API compatible with the old report, so hopefully no changes in the Anaconda nor the in the python-meh code will be required. So this bug is more a tracking bug for QA to give Anaconda one more slot for testing the integration with libreport.

Expected results:
- successfully created bugs in bz ;)
- slightly different UI for targets selector (the UI where user decides where to send the report)

Is this going to require running any piece of abrt during installation?

No, the libreport is a separated from ABRT, it's just a library - no daemon needed.

Comment 5 Jiri Moskovcak 2011-07-26 18:55:45 UTC
list of required packages:

libreport
libreport-cli
libreport-gtk
libreport-python
libreport-plugin-rhtsupport
libreport-plugin-logger
libreport-plugin-bugzilla

this will enable reporting to:
- Red Hat support portal (rhtsupport)
- localsave (logger - not sure if this is required)
- bugzilla.redhat.com (bugzilla)

- btw the current version will complain about not-running keyring - will fix it
asap (#725858)

Comment 8 Jiri Moskovcak 2011-07-28 14:05:19 UTC
I found 2 more packages required by libreport missing in install.img:

xmlrpc-c
xmlrpc-c-client

Comment 9 Jiri Moskovcak 2011-08-01 11:58:01 UTC
and one more:

libtar

- does it popup a dialog or you're talking about the warning label in the configuration dialog? popup is wrong, the warning text is ok.

I'm talking about the label. There was no popup so we're fine then.
