I've noticed that this bug is present in 4.8.1. Would you please consider adding this patch to Fedora 15 as well? Thanks. +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #691637 +++ Upstream bug 6305 fixes a problem where accessibility settings (sticky keys and mouse keys) are disabled after 2 minutes of keyboard inactivity. Since this bug makes the accessibility modes almost completely unusable, would it be possible to add this patch to the XFCE packages in Fedora 14 and 15 until updates to the XFCE 4.6 and 4.8 releases include the patch? --- Additional comment from kevin on 2011-03-29 11:39:06 EDT --- Yeah, I looked at this, and the commited patch is against 4.8 and doesn't apply cleanly to 4.6. ;( I need to sit down and try and get it working with 4.6. I'll try and do so. --- Additional comment from amcnabb on 2011-03-29 12:25:59 EDT --- If you're too busy with other stuff, let me know, and I might be able to try. --- Additional comment from kevin on 2011-03-29 12:51:59 EDT --- If you have time to generate and test a 4.6 patch that would be great. ;) If not, I will try and get to it at some point here... --- Additional comment from amcnabb on 2011-03-29 13:52:34 EDT --- Created attachment 488513 [details] xkbtimeout.patch This patch should fix the problem for sticky keys, bounce keys, mouse keys, and slow keys. I've tested it for mouse keys, and it seems to work. I will post it upstream momentarily. --- Additional comment from kevin on 2011-03-29 16:25:51 EDT --- Excellent! ;) I'll push out a test update here in a bit after some quick testing here. --- Additional comment from updates on 2011-03-29 16:38:05 EDT --- xfce4-settings-4.6.5-2.fc14 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 14. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/xfce4-settings-4.6.5-2.fc14 --- Additional comment from updates on 2011-03-30 15:59:59 EDT --- Package xfce4-settings-4.6.5-2.fc14: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 14 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Odd. I thought this was already commited into the 4.8 branch. :( Will investigate.
