Thanks for reporting this bug. I was already aware of it and so is upstream. This means that there is no reason or no use to report it here. As a package maintainer I cant do anything until upstream developers come up with a solution. Further investigation of this bug will take place in the Xfce bug tracker at https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8105. I will let you know once the bug is resolved and provide an update for Fedora, but until then this bug is remains "closed UPSTREAM". Fore more info see the discussions both on the Fedora Xfce mailing list as well as on Xfce's own one: http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/xfce/2011-November/000819.html http://mail.xfce.org/pipermail/xfce/2011-November/029418.html

Created attachment 545854 [details] Use valid license While upstream is working on long term solution, I think we should use this temporary solution. Solution taken from https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8105#c9
I am aware of that fix but I refuse to abuse someones license without explicit permission from upstream. If Xfce decides to go this way, then I'm fine.
That is why I pointed to Coment 9: Dan: "I don't maintain CTW anymore. You're welcome to use the same license if you like, no idea why it works and your plugin stopped." Dan Cardamore <dan> is the author of the CurseTheWeather application from where this working license is taken. And he has given permission to use that license. BTW archlinux is already using it...
So are others. The problem however is: It is a violation of the The Weather Channel's EULA, licenses cannot be transferred. If Xfce upstream decides to violate the EULA, it's there problem, but I don't want to make this decision even if the former owner of the license is ok with it.
s/there/their
Now I understand... I was not aware about The Weather Channel's EULA.
