Description Ville-Pekka Vainio 2012-01-05 21:15:45 UTC
Description of problem:
After the PackageKit update to 0.6.21-1.fc16 I am getting an unnecessary "The software is not from a trusted source" password popup on multiple systems. Yum does not complain about anything like this if I use it directly.

There is also a thread about this on the users mailing list: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/users/2012-January/411694.html

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
PackageKit-0.6.21-1.fc16.i686

Comment 1 Paul Lipps 2012-01-06 22:57:13 UTC
I can confirm this issue with the last three update pushes. PackageKit states the software is not from a trusted source and asks for admin credentials. Using yum there is no warning at all. Here is some output from yum:

-------------
# yum update
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit

Is this ok [y/N]:

It was mentioned on the mailing list this might be an issue with RPMFusion, but there are no packages from that repo listed. Here is my repolist:

I have the same issue but I don't have RPMFusion in my repo list

Comment 3 Sam Hegarty 2012-01-08 10:44:52 UTC
I also have the issue. I am using RPMFusion, however none of the packages being updated come from there. YUM doesn't give me a warning.
