Description Adam Williamson 2012-02-03 17:45:20 UTC
We don't have any F17 pre-release artwork yet; F17 Alpha TC1 has all F16 artwork. We agreed that, to prevent confusion, pre-releases must at least have generic 'this is a pre-release of 17' artwork, not re-use previous artwork. The release criterion is "The default Fedora artwork must either refer to the current Fedora release under development (Fedora 17), or reference an interim release milestone (e.g. Alpha or Beta). If a release version number is used, it must match the current Fedora release under development. This includes artwork used in the installer, graphical bootloader menu, firstboot, graphical boot, graphical login and desktop background." Accordingly, proposing this as an Alpha blocker.

Discussed at the 2012-02-03 blocker review meeting. Accepted as a blocker per Alpha criterion cited above.

I'm not sure if I'm not misunderstanding something, but if this [1] is in, wallpaper should be beefy-miracle for
GNOME: desktop-backgrounds-gnome
XFCE: desktop-backgrounds-xfce
LXDE and other non-KDE: desktop-backgrounds-compat

I'm not sure about KDE side of things.

Martin: there is more than just the background, there is versioned art in the installer. The fedora-logos build from a half hour back should fix it.

Ah, yes, I forgot there's a release number in those. Thanks for clarification.

Comment 7 Adam Williamson 2012-02-16 01:39:21 UTC
Looks good in RC2, I'm seeing 17 in anaconda and the new background. Update still needs to be pushed stable via Bodhi.
