Description Dave Jones 2012-02-20 20:47:45 UTC
All the hardware info, mythtv info (wtf?), pci devices, filesystem mounts info appended to reports is in most cases totally useless and just clutters up bug reports.

Please add an opt-out for this. A better approach would be to ask the user if they want to include a link to their smolts.org profile, and just include that.
(Still pointless in most cases, but at least not as much clutter).

an example: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=795544
The stack trace is all we need there.

/me quietly routes this to abrt while wondering if davej's brain has been permanently broken by bugzilla.

Comment 2 Jiri Moskovcak 2012-02-22 08:03:28 UTC
How about we just don't inline it and add it only as an attachment? Opting it out just for kernel would be a pita..

Comment 3 Nikola Pajkovsky 2012-02-22 08:18:29 UTC
not really. you will see my solution later on today or tomorrow
