I don't have any EL installations and I'd rather not maintain packages in EPEL. You're already maintaining gpodder in EPEL, so I think it would be best if you maintained python-pymtp there too. Feel free to do a package change request yourself :)
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle. Changing version to '19'.
