RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Comment 5 John Sefler 2012-04-10 19:16:23 UTC
Note, this bug was cloned from a rhel58 bug were the string "Fetching certificates" was never externalized (as demonstrated here...)

[root@ibm-z10-27 ~]# rpm -q subscription-manager-gnome
subscription-manager-gnome-0.98.14-1.el5

[root@ibm-z10-27 ~]# grep -r Fetching /usr/share/rhsm/subscription_manager/gui/*.py
/usr/share/rhsm/subscription_manager/gui/registergui.py: self._set_register_details_label(_("Fetching list of possible organizations"))
/usr/share/rhsm/subscription_manager/gui/registergui.py: self._set_register_details_label("Fetching certificates")
[root@ibm-z10-27 ~]# msgunfmt /usr/share/locale/ja/LC_MESSAGES/rhsm.mo | grep Fetching -A1
msgid "Fetching list of possible organizations"
msgstr "可能性のある組織の一覧の取り込み"
[root@ibm-z10-27 ~]#

^^^ NOTICE HERE THAT "Fetching list of possible organizations" WAS EXTERNALIZED FOR TRANSLATION, BUT "Fetching certificates" WAS NOT EXTERNALIZED FOR TRANSLATION.

Now in the current subscription-manager-gnome package targeted for rhel63 release, you will see that this string has been completely removed thereby making this bug not applicable to rhel63....

[root@jsefler-r63-server ~]# rpm -q subscription-manager-gnome
subscription-manager-gnome-0.99.13-1.el6.x86_64

[root@jsefler-r63-server ~]# grep -r Fetching /usr/share/rhsm/subscription_manager/gui/*.py
/usr/share/rhsm/subscription_manager/gui/registergui.py: self._set_register_details_label(_("Fetching list of possible organizations"))
[root@jsefler-r63-server ~]# msgunfmt /usr/share/locale/ja/LC_MESSAGES/rhsm.mo | grep Fetching -A1
msgid "Fetching list of possible organizations"
msgstr "可能性のある組織の一覧の取り込み"
[root@jsefler-r63-server ~]#

^^^ HERE YOU WILL NOTICE THAT "Fetching list of possible organizations" CONTINUES TO EXIST AND IS EXTERNALIZED FOR TRANSLATION, BUT "Fetching certificates" IS NO LONGER USED. IT HAS BEEN ELIMINATED.

Moving to VERIFIED that "Fetching certificates" has been entirely eliminated.
