Comment 2 Michal Schmidt 2012-05-29 16:35:00 UTC
Does reboot hang too?
Does it poweroff using "sync && poweroff -f" ?

Comment 3 Brandon 2012-05-29 22:58:51 UTC
Poweroff -f works however the system immediately loose power, which might not be good for the shutting down a system.

Comment 4 MrBrownwait 2012-06-02 21:11:52 UTC
reboot: works
shutdown -h now: hangs

Comment 5 Michal Schmidt 2012-06-04 11:35:43 UTC
It would help to get shutdown logs from the system. Please try to follow the systemd debugging advice given in this wiki page:
http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/Debugging

Comment 6 MrBrownwait 2012-06-04 11:38:31 UTC
I'm not able to reproduce the bug since last upgrade. Seems to work fine now.

Comment 7 Michal Schmidt 2012-06-04 11:56:33 UTC
Thanks. Let's see if the original reporter can confirm the observation, or provide the shutdown log.

Comment 8 Brandon 2012-06-08 14:21:01 UTC
I had installed 17 beta and upgraded to 17.

I decided to do a clean install of 17 and it fixed the errors.

Thanks,
Brandon.
