Description of problem: The latest version of Bugzilla is extremely slow when changing parameters. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.2 ? How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a search against RHEL 2. change the version 3. screen freezes for 30-60 seconds; prior release paused for 1-2 seconds. 4. observe "Waiting on engstats.redhat.com..." Actual results: * screen locks up for 30-60 seconds * I measured an 8Mbps download and a 2Mbps upload speed from the Internet so this isn't my connection. Expected results: Speed like the prior Bugzilla release Additional info:
We turned on mail queue this morning (evening EDT) which should speed up the time it takes updating the bug. -- simon
Reopening. My screen still locks up as soon as I touch a search parameter. While it may be slightly faster than before comment #1, it is still much longer than the prior bugzilla release. I find myself locked out for 10s of seconds: Example bringing up Bugzilla in a browser window: - 3 seconds to get the Bugzilla screen - 13 seconds to get the default "advanced" search screen - 23 seconds more to before the screen is unfrozen so I can type something or change tabs on the browser - 57 seconds more after I click RHEL6 before I can click CNTL/RHEL7 in the Product field I am then able to select additional fields and type in real time. The lower left corner of the screen often shows "Waiting on engstats.redhat.com" This never happened in any prior version of Bugzilla.
