Description of problem:

3c589 3com PCMCIA card starts with kernel-2.4.20-2.21, doesn't start with
kernel-2.4.20-2.34

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Updated stock phoebe with the following packages:

rpm -i kernel-2.4.20-2.34.i586.rpm

rpm -U kernel-pcmcia-cs-3.1.31-13.i386.rpm

How reproducible:

Always.

After booting kernel-2.4.20-2.34.i586.rpm the 3com card fails to start.

The only relevant lines from the syslog are as follows:

Rebooting with pci-biosirq makes no difference.

I can reboot back to kernel-2.4.20-2.21, and the card starts fine, and comes
back on the network, even with the updated kernel-pcmcia-cs package:

that's not going to work well...

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, 
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
