Probably I could reproduce it with the following recipe, even with only US layout: 1. start eekboard with $ pkill eekboard-server $ G_DEBUG=fatal_criticals eekboard-server & $ eekboard 2. push "Setup" button on eekboard 3. long press "Esc" on eekboard Probably something wrong in key-repeat handling in eekboard.
Yes, the bug can be produce with the US layout. Except, i did not restart the eekboard-server. I did following: 1. invoke the eekboard (may be from terminal or from GUI without any arguments) 2. Click on Setup button on eekboard 3. long press the ESC button on eekboard
