Is the fix going to be released as an update? When? Will this also fix bug 807807 and bug 754756? I'm not sure, but it seems like maybe somebody commenting in bug 754756 seems to think that every application is responsible for making collect_GConf work properly, and if that hasn't been done, it's OK for ABRT to simply fail. That's absurd. If ABRT can't collect GConf data, it should still submit the bug report without it.
