This is actually the same as bug #856209, but now for F18 with systemd environment - there's a vgchange call in the /lib/systemd/fedora-storage-init script that needs to be changed to: /sbin/lvm vgchange -a ay --sysinit (..so "-a ay" instead of former "-a y") There was supposed to be a cleanup for fedora-storage-init script that would divide its functionality into separate scripts belonging to each package, effectively removing the fedora-storage-init script totally. But this is going to be only for current rawhide and higher, not F18 as it's late for such a change in F18. So please change the one line above so the auto_activation_volume_list in lvm.conf works. As for the Conflicts line (as already used in RHEL6), please use the latest build - the lvm2-2.02.98-1.fc18 (https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/lvm2-2.02.98-1.fc18) as this one also includes important fix for the auto_activation_volume_list feature. Thanks.
