Description Kamil Páral 2012-11-09 10:04:13 UTC
Description of problem:
If you do changes to Installation Source and visit the spoke again, the drop-down list for protocol has wrong text color, making the text disappear on mouse over.

You can easily see it in attachment 641404 [details] .

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
anaconda 18.27

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot netinst
2. go to installation source, change repo to http://aaaa
3. go to installation source again, use the drop-down list again

I'm not seeing any color weirdness, but I am seeing that the source spoke is shaded out yet clickable on the hub. What tree are you installing with?

Comment 2 Kamil Páral 2012-11-12 10:45:50 UTC
If you watch the video, there's no particular tree. It's just smoke16 netinst (I just checked, it also happens with Beta TC8 and anaconda 18.28). The provided http/nfs can be invalid.

I just checked on bare-metal, it happens as well.

Have you really followed the reproducer?

Comment 3 Chris Lumens 2012-11-12 13:49:54 UTC
Yes of course I have. I am really getting quite tired of the attitude displayed in a lot of these bugs. "Have you really followed the reproducer?"? Seriously?

Comment 4 Kamil Páral 2012-11-12 16:42:54 UTC
Sorry, there was no ill intention.

Comment 5 Chris Lumens 2012-11-27 18:55:26 UTC
The root cause of this is somehow related to bug 873600. What I'm seeing is that once you hit the bug there and go into the source spoke anyway, you have (1) the shrunken UI and (2) the highlighted item in this drop down is not drawn properly.

Basically, once you hit 873600, all bets are off on the UI being valid. I'm going to dupe since that's the only way I can ever make this happen.
