oVirt gerrit 84010 0 master MERGED webadmin: Prevent popup moving off screen 2017-11-20 21:28:40 UTC

Description Miki Kenneth 2012-11-22 15:33:55 UTC
on low resolution, if you browser is configured with additional toolbars, the end of the dialogs can not be seen (on New Domain/Edit Domain/Import Domain)

OK and Cancl are not displayed and there is no way to resize.

This is relevant to laptop with small display screen (x201) and TV displays.

Comment 1 Ayal Baron 2012-12-19 11:09:02 UTC
Note that these resolutions are what you get on projectors so Demos of the product don't look good

Comment 3 Tal Nisan 2012-12-26 15:21:32 UTC
Tried with Firefox in 1024x800 system resolution and added some bogus toolbars to grab space, the dialog is indeed not shown although the button are reachable through scrolling

Comment 4 Ayal Baron 2013-01-21 14:34:50 UTC
The only thing we can do with this is change the dialog size which would always add a scroll bar to the dialog (degrading the view on all resolutions).
Closing wontfix

New UI does not display pool tab correctly on resolution 1368x768. Header is not visible. See attachment.
Tested in FF 56.0 and Google Chrome 62.0

Greg - is this a resolution we care about?
What's the official support matrix?

Comment 10 Greg Sheremeta 2017-11-12 14:11:38 UTC
I'm looking into it and I'll get back to you

Comment 11 Greg Sheremeta 2017-11-20 21:41:33 UTC
The header will now always be positioned at top:0, or vertically centered, but never off the viewport. You can then move the dialog as needed, or scroll the page to access the rest of the dialog [1]. That should take care of this issue. @Tal, I think you can target to 4.2 and set to MODIFIED.

If I hear back about our support matrix, I'll let you know.

[1] the grayed out background turns white in the scrolled area, but not a big deal IMO.

Comment 12 Lucie Leistnerova 2017-12-07 12:52:49 UTC
Whole dialog in 1368x768 visible/scrollable

verified in ovirt-engine-webadmin-portal-4.2.0-0.6.el7.noarch
