Description of problem: Exchange online account not appear in evolution Please see demonstration video: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0nwzlfiB4aQNVRtQ2syN3VCNGM
Thanks for a bug report. I tried to reproduce this, but it failed, GOA account is shown in Evolution. This is with updated Fedora 18 as of today, but I do not think it's about update, this is about server response. When you add a new Google or EWS account into Gnome Online Accounts, then evolution-source-registry recognizes it and tries to connect to the server. It knows about the configured mail account, calendars and addressbooks only after it successfully connects to the server and discovers them. That said, if the server response is slower, then this can take time, thus just after the configuration is done in Gnome Online Accounts, the account information as such will be available later. Could you verify that, please?
I think it occurs because I had evolution-ews account on Fedora 17 on this machine. On another machine which have clean profile this problem is absent. And yes I don't have problems with Google account on this machine.
Hmm, the video showed you to set a fresh new Gnome Online Account, which may be the same as the other machine with a clean profile - at least theoretically. I would try to clean the Onle Accounts, then stop all evolution processes (`ps ax | grep evolution` should return only one hit, the 'grep' command), and then run /usr/libexec/evolution-source-registry from a terminal, followed by entering anew Online Account. The evolution-source-registry process is quite chatty, it should show addition of new sources when you are done with the account in Online Accounts. One possibility is, maybe, that evolution-source-registry doesn't read password from Online Accounts, but from elsewhere, which is not correct, thus the authentication fails and no sources are added. You can run the evolution-source-registry with EWS_DEBUG=2 too, thus you'll get the communication between the process and your EWS server as well, if any is done.
I do not remember, evolution-ews is present in the alpha? I am install beta today and exchange account appeared in evolution. But there was found another problem, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=880825
(In reply to comment #4) > I do not remember, evolution-ews is present in the alpha? Yes, evolution-ews is part of Fedora since Fedora 16, regardless Fedora's alpha/beta/final stage, though only recently had been added EWS support into Gnome Online Accounts. (In reply to comment #4) > I am install beta today and exchange account appeared in evolution. Does it mean that it started to work? If so, then I'm not sure what to do with this bug report then. I believe there is some flaw in the code, your video showed it, but I cannot reproduce it, and the part I thought is involved, which I described in above comments, is probably related, though I currently do not know how to address it properly, because at least autodiscover on the evolution-source-registry part should also finish before the account is auto-added (this autodiscover can cause the delay in account addition).

With fresh install F18 beta (I am testing anaconda), I am used /home partition from my previous installation (F18 alpha) and after reboot and launching evolution I see two evolution-ews accounts. First from my F17 which been installed before F18 alpha, second which I added when testing online accounts in F18 alpha.
(In reply to comment #6) > I mean that evolution-ews by default installed in F18 beta, but not > installed in F18 alpha. Aah, I see, that's true, and I forgot of it completely. That's another reason which can cause no email account in evolution with EWS configured through Online Accounts. The missing evolution-ews makes no account in evolution, which makes sense. > With fresh install F18 beta (I am testing anaconda), I am used /home > partition from my previous installation (F18 alpha) and after reboot and > launching evolution I see two evolution-ews accounts. > First from my F17 which been installed before F18 alpha, second which I > added when testing online accounts in F18 alpha. I see, it's pretty expected, the account information is stored in ~/.config/evolution/sources, and the old EWS account was found too. If you want to make it clean for evolution, then delete ~/.local/share/evolution ~/.config/evolution ~/.cache/evolution before any evolution process will be started, then you'll start from scratch.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 18. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '18'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 18's end of life. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 18 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 18's end of life. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 18 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2014-01-14. Fedora 18 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
Still happens in Fedora 22. evolution-ews-3.16.5-1.fc22.x86_64
