When an operator didn't enter the current administration password in the installer, no indication was given that they needed to enter it to continue. A hint "You have not provided a new password, current admin password will be used" is now shown on the password page during an upgrade or re-installation.

No popup, but a hint is shown on the password page during an upgrade or reinstallation.

This bug is currently attached to errata RHBA-2013:15277. If this change is not to be documented in the text for this errata please either remove it from the errata, set the requires_doc_text flag to minus (-), or leave a "Doc Text" value of "--no tech note required" if you do not have permission to alter the flag.

Yes, a hints (You have not provided a new password, current admin password will be used) is shown on the password page during an upgrade or reinstallation.

But the hint always show even if user provided a new password on TUI upgrade page, see bug 1018448.

So the hint issue in bug's description has been fixed, if there any change I will update to bug 1018448. Change bug status to VERIFIED.
