i noticed, grub2 in fedora set the keyboard mapping using ‘KEYMAP=’ in the command line , but that can not be understandably by systemd cmdline after booting , instead it should use ‘vconsole.keymap=’ in grub2.cgf file,so like this the system in tty will use the correct layout , please updated this in next-release
grub2 will obey the instructions anaconda placed in in /etc/default/grub .
yes true , but this the point it was *KEYTABLE* insted of *vconsole.keymap* in /etc/default/grub .
Sorry, what's the bug here? I don't see that anaconda writes any keyboard layout info to /etc/default/grub. Is that it?
I don't think this is broken any more, I've tested it. mussadek, could you give more details about how exactly you tested, and what version of F18 you tested?
hi i am on the latest updated version of fedora Fc18 i do not recall the version exactly when i test it, but i remember one of these anaconda update or kernel update put a the *KEYTABLE* string in the grub.cfg instead of *vconsole.keymap*, without regenerating my original /etc/default/grub.
