This system is on f18, I can't remember this issue earlier, so I guess, it's something in Fedora 18.

What version of webob is this?
From upstream webob news, this will start happening from Version 1.2 on.

$ for rel in 17 18; do repoquery --releasever=$rel python-webob; done
python-webob-0:1.1.1-2.fc17.noarch
python-webob-0:1.1.1-3.fc18.noarch

So it seems you may have installed a python-webob1.2 rpm ?

Comment 2 Matthias Runge 2013-01-08 10:49:32 UTC
No, I don't have a later version installed:
[root@turing pam.d]# rpm -q python-webob
python-webob-1.1.1-3.fc18.noarch

seems to fix this issue, particularly, I've taken that from webob-1.2.3
