Previously, accelerators were not set for the number pad keys, so the user could not use the +, -, and 0 from the number pad to zoom in, zoom out, or reset the zoom in remote-viewer. Now, accelerators have been added for the number pad keys, so the user can use the +, -, and 0 from the number pad to zoom in, zoom out, or reset the zoom.

This request was not resolved in time for the current release.
Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if still desired, for consideration in
the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

I test with:
virt-viewer-0.6.0-6.el7.x86_64.rpm

Steps:

1. start and open a guest with virt-viewer
# virsh start $vm
# virt-viewer $vm

2. press "Num Lock"
Press "Ctrl" and "-/+" in number pad

Result:
Nothing happens.

As the result, move to ASSIGNED.

Hmm. Actually this is my fault due to a lack of proper testing, sorry.

Okay, the current situation is:
- Only one accelerator can be used per widget, unless we start using GApplication for the {remote,virt}-viewer, what is something I wouldn't like to do/have as long as we are still maintaining GTK2 support.
- A way to workaround this is having 2 widgets, with different accelerators (aka, one accelerator per widget) and then we have the menu items being duplicated, what I don't think is acceptable.

So, my suggestion here is to close the bug as WONTFIX and then fix this as part of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1061817

I'm taking my suggestion back and now moving it to the next release. Hopefully we will be able to easily fix that there.

oVirt 4.2.0 has been released on Dec 20th 2017. Please consider re-targeting this bug to next milestone.

Sarah I see you moved component from RFE to ovirt-engine but this seems to be a platform bug on virt-viewer component. Maybe move to RHEL/virt-viewer?
