Description of problem:
Removed displayport cable (attached to second display) from notebook, expecting system to move all windows from secondary to LCD.

mate-settings-daemon crashed, and windows were not moved.
Does not happen 100% of time.

Please try updating to the latest packages (mate-desktop-1.5.8 + mate-settings-daemon-1.5.7, etc) and let me know if you are still experiencing issues.

They are currently being pushed to stable.
