Description of problem: In virt-viewer, View -> Displays -> deselect the second or third display when you have all 4 displays showing. Removing the second or third display will result in the 4th display being a black screen until you either deselect the forth display or select the display you removed, to return. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHEV-M 3.2 (si14) and W2K8R2 client. spice-client-msi-3.2-10 (mingw-virt-viewer 0.5.3-25) vdagent-win-0.1-17 to Win7 guest How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. See above 2. 3. Actual results: The fourth screen is a black screen when the second or third display is removed in virt-viewer. Expected results: The fourth screen is unaffected when the second or third display is removed in virt-viewer. Additional info:
the windows agent doesn't support sparse monitor config, see bug 953973 However, I think this bug should try to fix the fact that the display becomes black instead of showing the enabled monitors.
Bill, can you verify that the 4 monitors are available in the guest "screen resolutions" dialog? It seems the default ram=64M vram=64M fails to load one of the 4 devices. I am not sure where the bug belongs. But in this case, we can't manage failing monitors.
Once bug 953973 is fixed, and 4 devices are correctly set up, it seem to fix that bug.
granted vel ack and moving to ON_QA for verification as the result of the 953973 fix.
