Description of problem: If one chooses Japanese or Chinese, etc in g-i-s one would expect that the default configured Input Sources listed would include the default ibus engine for that language (and also the system keyboard layout: bug 928645). Currently no engine is listed (nor can any be selected: bug 950688). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-initial-setup-0.9-1.fc19 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select Japanese in gnome-initial-setup Actual results: Input sources does not list ibus-kkc as a default Input Source for Japanese users (nor any sources). (Neither can it be added.) Expected results: (System keyboard layout) and Kana Kanji engine (ibus-kkc) to be listed as the default Input Sources for Japanese users. (Installed input method engines to be available in the Input Sources chooser UI.) Additional info: (ibus-kkc replaces ibus-anthy in F19 for Japanese.) Same story for Chinese, Korean, Indic languages, etc.)
Does this bug overlap completely with 928645? I cannot see any difference between them. We have 958714 for the list being completely empty (not showing the default en-US keyboard layout or whatever layout you picked during Anaconda).
Yes sorry it the same bug! Kind of amusing that I proposed the other one as a blocker but also filed this... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 928645 ***
Ah okay you made bug 928645 into this bug, but that is okay I am happy to see it proposed. :)
