Description of problem:
I am trying to run ejabberd with PAM authentication, but SELinux shoots that down.

I have the following in my /etc/ejabberd/ejabberd.conf:

SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/bash from 'read' accesses on the file /usr/lib64/erlang/erts-5.10.1/bin/epmd.

If you believe that bash should be allowed read access on the epmd file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep sh /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
