Description klaus 2013-08-14 09:10:36 UTC
Just installed autofs with yumex. Installation went ok, but When I exit yumex
I receive following message:

Backend not running as expected

Yum Extender will terminate
   --> exit code : 0

Actually I do have a problem that external usb harddisk is not recognized since installation of kernel 3.10.4. Somehow this autofs and malfunctioning backend seems related, but how?

System is fedora 19

Did this happen again the next time you used yumex, or was it only this time ?

Factually it happens now every time when I use yumex

- kernel is latest one - up to date

Hi, any chance to have this bug - actually a repeating
fatal error message - handled with yumex soon?

Regards Klaus

Comment 5 Tim Lauridsen 2013-09-10 12:27:54 UTC
It is some weird timing issue, when the gui is closing down the backend there is running the package actions.
Im have not been able to reproduce it yes.

Have you tried yumex-3.0.11 in updates-testing there is some changes to how the backend is started ?

please run 'yumex -d' in a console and attach the output to this report

Yumex should not show a message about backend not running, when trying to close yumex, this is fixed upstream
