In the first maintenance release of Red Hat OpenStack Platform 16.1 there is support for routed provider networks using the ML2/OVS and SR-IOV mechanism drivers.

You can use a routed provider network to enable a single provider network to represent multiple layer 2 networks (broadcast domains) or segments so that the operator can present only one network to users. This is a common network type in edge DCN and spine-leaf routed data center deployments.

Looks like a duplicate of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1340223 This BZ is about dataplane routed networks support. For controlplane (undercloud networks like internal API, storage, ...) check bug #1601576 This feature could be enabled manually (modifying the neutron configuration), but since OSP 15 (and backport to OSP 13 in z9), this is enabled by default by Director. So OSP 16 scope is mostly to test routed networks after deployment. This issue has conditional approval for 16.1 Z1 release, it must be in the first compose and tested before release of 16.1.1. If not, we will move to TM=Z2. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
