How to reproduce
-----
1. run gnome-do, let sit for a reasonable amount of time

Comment
-----
after letting gnome-do idle for a while, it just seems to simply crash without warning, cause, or interaction on my part.

Comment 8 Christian Krause 2010-03-14 22:39:09 UTC
Please can you check with:
rpm -qa |grep gnome-do-plugins
whether you have installed any gnome-do plugins (please paste the output into this bug report).

If you have installed plugins, please uninstall all of them and check, whether the problem still happens.

Comment 9 Renich Bon Ciric 2010-03-15 05:25:22 UTC
Output:
[renich@introdesk ~]$ rpm -qa |grep gnome-do-plugins
gnome-do-plugins-rhythmbox-0.8.2-1.fc12.x86_64
gnome-do-plugins-0.8.2-1.fc12.x86_64

I will uninstall and see if it helps.

Comment 10 Renich Bon Ciric 2010-03-15 23:24:24 UTC
Ok, hasn't crashed so far... but no fun without the plugins!

Btw, these bugs are duplicate:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=525551
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=525880
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=530758
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=543518

Should I mark them or not?

Ok, thanks for the test. I'll move the bug to the gnome-do-plugins component.

Yes, please. I've roughly looked at them and since all of them were opened by you then I think for now we can assume the same problem.

Comment 16 Adam Huffman 2010-03-23 18:25:30 UTC
For what it's worth, I can confirm that gnome-do doesn't crash on the system I mentioned in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=525551 if I disable all the plugins. I'm happy to try enabling different ones to see which cause the crashes, if that's helpful.

Comment 17 Renich Bon Ciric 2010-03-23 22:50:15 UTC
I really think it's the micro-blogging one.

Comment 21 Bug Zapper 2010-11-04 09:10:01 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 12 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 12. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '12'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 12's end of life.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 12 is end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this
bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version,
please add a comment here and someone will do it for you.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping

Comment 22 Bug Zapper 2010-12-04 03:42:40 UTC
Fedora 12 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2010-12-02. Fedora 12 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
