I can confirm this bug also on the current Fedora 15. My GPU ( 5770 ) is not going into Powersave. My Fan is extrem high and it does not tact down. On fglrx it can go into powersave. Also: http://www.x.org/wiki/RadeonFeature It should support it but it does not ... So it is a bug. Pls FIX! Greetings There is a corresponding bug entry at freedesktop.org: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36438 I found a patch in the upstream kernel that fixes the termal reading for amd juniper cards. This could be the source of the error. (at least it turns down the fan to regular) Is there anything that I can do to further help with the bug? We agreee that this bug is already in the upstream database (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36438) and believe that it is more appropriate to let it be resolved upstream.
