The watchdog should only trigger if interrupts are disabled for 10 seconds or more. Looking at the stack trace native_cpu_up explicit checks to make sure interrupts _are_ enabled (WARN_ON(irqs_disabled)). The do_boot_cpu path doesn't seem to disable interrupts and in fact goes into a 5 second delay loop while waiting for the cpu to come up. Now if this is looping and scheduling with interrupts disabled, I can see this causing a lockup warning (as seen above). But I can't see were interrupts would be disabled. I would have to see the whole console bootup to see if there are other errors going on. Is it possible to take a picture or capture more of the console otherwise? Cheers, Don *** Bug 771090 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** No idea Package: kernel OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) no idea. some boo-boo happened during shutdown sequence rating: (null) Package: kernel Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) *** Bug 802563 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 799927 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** [mass update] kernel-3.3.0-4.fc16 has been pushed to the Fedora 16 stable repository. I recommend anyone experiencing this bug to try stock CPU clocks and/or use EFI/BIOS to disable the watchdog feature, and then going from there. |
