This feature adds a virtual appliance, which can be used to quickly set up a pre-installed and partially pre-configured image of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager. The image is available for download as either a raw disk or an OVA file. The following command can be used inside the image to finish the site-specific configuration: $ rhevm-setup --offline --config-append=rhevm-setup-answers

Description james labocki 2013-11-12 09:02:15 EST
This is a RFE to provide RHEV-M as a virtual appliance deployable on RHEL/KVM, RHEV, vSphere, or RHELOSP. This will allow users to gain access to RHEV-M faster who have no knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, RHN, channels, etc.
Comment 1 Itamar Heim 2013-11-12 12:25:13 EST
lets start with a kvm based one for virsh and hosted engine...
Comment 3 Sandro Bonazzola 2014-07-22 08:16:54 EDT
assigning to fabian, assignee of the upstream bug, and node whiteboard
Comment 6 Fabian Deutsch 2014-09-05 09:20:27 EDT
Inside the appliance run:

$ rhevm-setup --offline --append-config=rhevm-setup-answers

or if registered with RHN/SAM:

$ rhevm-setup --append-config=rhevm-setup-answers

the assistant is shown on the serial console. We might want to change that.

If possible change your display to the serial console to complete the firstboot assistant.
