Description anthony_placilla 2000-03-28 16:19:29 UTC
Gnome
When right-clicking on a text file (or any other file for that
matter) in gmc & choosing "Open With", no applications show up in the
 dialog box.

AFAIR in 6.1 it worked with the exception that Gedit would segfault.

Comment 1 lzs 2000-04-05 10:38:59 UTC
The blank list happens only under some circumstances, I've not been able to
determine what the determining factor is. It doesn't happen with a user who has
a somewhat empty directory, but it does with a user whose home directory is
somewhat filled with files. In the former case, the blank list problems surfaces
when the user browses over to a directory filled with many files.

yet?

Comment 5 tai4ji2x 2000-05-12 00:03:59 UTC
personally, although this bug is not system-critical, i do find it very
annoying... can't someone at least give an update on the progress of tracking
down this bug? btw, so is the gmc component assigned to jrb or
pbrown?

Comment 6 tai4ji2x 2000-05-16 07:59:59 UTC
anyone?

Comment 7 John Verel 2000-05-18 03:43:59 UTC
Yep, it's been around for a while. Is there anything going on with it?

Comment 8 tai4ji2x 2000-05-26 01:35:59 UTC
wow... i'm a little disappointed. nobody from redhat will give even a one-
sentence quick reply. nothing. nada... =(

Comment 9 John Verel 2000-06-22 03:07:41 UTC
Hello? Anybody home? This bug has been open for almost three months. Any
comment from Red Hat?

John

I am unable to duplicate this bug with the latest GNOME releases, either from
gnome.org or in Rawhide. Can you tell me if it still happens?

Thanks

what packages need updating, then? say, if i installed 6.2 from scratch
