Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Erik M Jacobs 2014-04-08 03:04:34 UTC
Description of problem:
After syncing RHEL6 RPM 6Server successfully, I added the kickstart repo. When going back to the sync status page, I noticed that RHEL shows 0 bytes and "queued", and the content dashboard showed that RHEL was not syncd.

Creating a content view and looking at the list of products shows "NA" for both sync status and last sync.

It just appears that there's some weirdness in the UI, but I'm not sure that anything really wrong is going on on the back-end.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
katello 1.5.0-19.el6sat (snap 6 compose 2)

Expected results:
On the sync status page we should show that all the packages are synced, or something.

Comment 1 Erik M Jacobs 2014-04-08 03:07:49 UTC
Looking at the products page and examining Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server, Sync Status for the product is "never synced"

Clicking into the product and looking at the repos, they all show numbers of packages, and the rhel 6 6server product shows errata too, but the sync status is "n/a"

Comment 2 RHEL Program Management 2014-04-08 03:24:36 UTC
Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been
set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.

Comment 4 Brad Buckingham 2014-06-25 18:59:06 UTC
Note: this bug may be the same as bug 1080060; therefore, please close one as a dupe, if the same solution addresses both.

Comment 5 Justin Sherrill 2014-07-22 18:55:56 UTC
Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/6734 from this bug
