This is due to an old version of bastion being in place. No changes required other than a new version of bastion to be built/installed.
As per comment 5, does Sat6.1 snap2 has new version of bastion ? This issue is reproducible in sat6.1.0 beta snap2(Satellite-6.1.0-RHEL-6-20150210.0). Assigning back.

Assigning back. No, snap2 does not contain the new version of bastion. Need to get that updated in the next snap.
Verified with: sat6.1 beta snap6 compose2 (Satellite-6.1.0-RHEL-6-20150311.1). Now search and repo dropdown and aligned properly. thanks for fixing this.
