Description of problem: TigerVNC 1.4.x requires fltk 1.3.3 for correct keyboard handling support. See bug #1208814. See also https://github.com/TigerVNC/tigervnc/issues/8 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): fltk-1.3.2-7.fc21
Per bug #1160251 , when we updated f22+ to fltk-1.3.3+, it was determined to be (likely?) ABI incompatible, so we rebuilt all fltk dependencies at the same time to be on the safe side. That said, the upstream report implies fltk requires some keyboard support/patches (prior to 1.3.3), which I think our 1.3.2 builds include some keyboard related patch from: http://www.fltk.org/str.php?L2599 Is that one not sufficient?
I guess you wouldn't have filed this bug if that were the case, nevermind. I'm game to try updating, and can help with other rebuilds if that becomes necessary. Anyone else with objections or comments?
Apparently they aren't sufficient. In particular, some people are reporting that Ctrl-Space in vncviewer is acting like Ctrl-2. Sorry, I'm not sure which is the change that fixes it, or whether the fix breaks ABI. :-(

fltk-1.3.3-2.fc21 has been pushed to the Fedora 21 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
Per bodhi comment, This broke plotting in octave (bug #1218360 and bug #1220627). Looks like it broke ABI. I'm rebuilding octave now. Ideally, with such evidence we'd bump soname, and issue another batched update, not sure if it's worth doing all that though. In the least, I'll look into doing rebuilds for remaining pkgs that depend on fltk libs.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 21 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 21. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '21'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 21 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
