+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1257149 +++ Description of problem: When a peer probe or peer detach fails glusterd currently reports "peer probe: failed: Probe returned with unknown errno 107". The process should be able to provide more information than that. --- Additional comment from Brad Hubbard on 2015-08-26 22:03:17 EDT --- http://review.gluster.org/#/c/12021/

REVIEW: http://review.gluster.org/12111 (glusterd: Return better error messages for probe and detach failures) posted (#2) for review on release-3.7 by Brad Hubbard (bhubbard)
COMMIT: http://review.gluster.org/12111 committed in release-3.7 by Vijay Bellur (vbellur) ------ commit 4932409c92928ae1a6a2a158c4cd311b0c75973c Author: Brad Hubbard <bhubbard> Date: Wed Aug 19 18:56:06 2015 +1000 glusterd: Return better error messages for probe and detach failures We handle some specific errors and return good error messages for those, but for the default case where the error code is not recognised we just report "unknown errno". This patch attempts to at least return the output of strerror to provide more informative errors.
