Proposed patch.

The version of the Python interpreter in binaries is confusing. Packaging guidelines state:

If executables are to be shipped for both python 2 and python 3:

Both python 2 and python 3 variants must provide symlinks with a '-X' and '-X.Y' suffix (python runtime major version, or python runtime major.minor version), unless upstream already provides appropriately versioned executables without the dash.

Thanks for the patch. That seems fair enough. I will fix it.

It looks like the patch is not formatted properly. I'm reattaching it.

Thanks, I was also able to recover the patch from the vim swp file.

As it is, I will be travelling and it's likely I will be updating the package only on Friday .. :(

Oops! Meant to close it as "Rawhide" not as "not a bug".
