RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Michal Skrivanek 2018-12-13 13:59:55 UTC
We need to update installer and drivers for Windows 2019 support

see bug 1563004 for details

Comment 1 Michal Skrivanek 2019-01-04 11:49:47 UTC
so please also pull in fixed qemu-ga from bug 1659071

Comment 11 Gal Zaidman 2019-08-26 10:16:36 UTC
Added dependency to 1745324 since on 4.4 we will have a new installer that will fix that issue

Comment 12 Sandro Bonazzola 2019-11-20 08:40:15 UTC
Installer for this driver has been added to Virtio-Win, moving the bug there for verification.

Comment 13 Jeff Nelson 2019-11-20 15:38:05 UTC
I'm not sure if there is additional packaging work for virtio-win, so delegating for follow-up.

Comment 14 Danilo de Paula 2019-12-17 18:28:09 UTC
The requirements seems to be there.

Comment 16 Danilo de Paula 2020-01-08 18:06:01 UTC
Probably.

But I can't request QA_ACK because the contact is not right.

@Amnon, who could get the QA_ACK+?

Comment 19 lijin 2020-01-09 01:27:18 UTC
1. virtio-win-1.9.10-3.el8 include win2019 drivers already;
2. installer is added according to bz1745298

So this bug is fixed, change status to verified.

Comment 22 Jeff Nelson 2020-03-29 22:34:12 UTC
The virtio-win build containing this fix, virtio-win-1.9.10-3.el8, was shipped as part of advisory RHEA-2020:0351-02 on 4 Feb 2020, but the bug was not attached to the advisory. Manually closing BZ.
