The beta Pinakle has been running fine but the Redhat 7 release doesn't:

The installation tool stops copying the packages nearly immediatelly with
this error message - I really don't like the pathnames :

Traceback (innermost last):
  File "/var/tmp/anaconda-7.0.1//usr/lib/anaconda/iw/progress_gui.py",
line 20, in run
    rc = self.todo.doInstall ()
  File "/var/tmp/anaconda-7.0.1//usr/lib/anaconda/todo.py", line 1480, in
    if self.method.systemMounted (self.fstab, self.instPath,
  File "/var/tmp/anaconda-7.0.1//usr/lib/anaconda/image.py", line 46, in
    self.loopbackFile = mntPoint + fstab.filesystemSpace(mntPoint)[0][0] +
  File "/var/tmp/anaconda-7.0.1//usr/lib/anaconda/fstab.py", line 258, in
    space.append((mntpoint, isys.fsSpaceAvailable(topMount + '/' +
  File "/usr/lib/anaconda/isys.py", line 16, in fsSpaceAvailable
    return _isys.devSpaceFree(fsystem)
SystemError: (2, 'No such file or directory')

Local variables in innermost frame:
fsystem: /mnt/sysimage//c

ToDo object:

Since the root partition is 2 GByte, insufficent disk space is not the
problem - my choice of components was about 1.1 GB.

Regards, Lars

Are you doing an upgrade or install?

What is the mount point /c configured as?
Comment 2 Michael Fulbright 2000-09-26 11:13:13 EDT
This looks like bug 17840.
Comment 3 Michael Fulbright 2000-09-29 12:05:41 EDT
Related to bug 17886?
Comment 4 Need Real Name 2000-10-02 01:14:54 EDT
Not mounting the NTFS partition (was /c) during installation did the trick.
Thanks for your help.
