Hello, Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (mhroncok). Your package (findbugs) Fails To Install in Fedora 35: can't install findbugs: - nothing provides mvn(org.ow2.asm:asm-debug-all) needed by findbugs-3.0.1-26.fc35.noarch If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem. If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks. P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors. P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/#updating-inter-dependent-packages Thanks!
FindBugs upstream has been dead since 2016 and I would like to retire it from Fedora [1]. There are 3 packages that have a build-time dependency on FindBugs; I've filed bugs against all of them: * libidn: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1966769 * nom-tam-fits: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1966790 * ongres-scram: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1966792 There's a PR linked from each bug that removes the FindBugs dependency from each of those packages. findbugs-contrib has now been retired: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/findbugs-contrib/c/bbcbbf8696169075b42e21afac907d7d231390b3?branch=rawhide A PR that removes FindBugs packages from comps has been merged: https://pagure.io/fedora-comps/pull-request/662
eclipse-findbugs / findbugs / findbugs-bcel have now also been retired: * https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/eclipse-findbugs/c/ad386a4a10334ce563099d8545b3eab5f9e86606?branch=rawhide * https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/findbugs/c/5e10e72c986812a03e38961e8c30f45cfc50fbdb?branch=rawhide * https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/findbugs-bcel/c/5ae95fcba7ea594dd4a7edfdcbc097765725c70b?branch=rawhide
