Description of problem: generic-logos-httpd conflicts with fedora-logos-httpd and prevents removal of Fedora copyrighted images. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 18.0.0-12.fc34 How reproducible: Every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. dnf install generic-logos-httpd --allowerasing 2. 3. Actual results: Error: Transaction test error: file /usr/share/pixmaps/poweredby.png from install of generic-logos-httpd-18.0.0-12.fc34.noarch conflicts with file from package fedora-logos-httpd-34.0.4-1.fc34.noarch Expected results: Replacement of fedora-logos-httpd with generic-logos-httpd. Additional info: Encountered on workstation as well as with livecd-creator on Fedora 34 and Rawhide. Appears to be similar to earlier bug resolved in Fedora 20.
I think it's expected that generic-logos-httpd conflicts with fedora-logos-httpd: they provide alternative versions of logo files that are installed at the same paths. A package-level "Conflicts" entry was added in generic-logos-httpd-18.0.0-13.fc34 (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/generic-logos/c/62ce310988d5086ca33dd46f2e1e4ce2fcfc1c08), so you should now hit that before you reach the file conflict. So I don't think there's anything more to do in this bug. If your end goal is to use httpd with generic-logos-httpd, the actual problem blocking that is that generic-logos-httpd doesn't provide the 'system-logos(httpd-logo-ng)' dependency of httpd (bug 2014863).
