Description Mattias Ellert 2022-02-01 11:37:42 UTC
Description of problem:

While trying to build packages in EPEL 9:
DEBUG util.py:444: No matching package to install: 'python3-twisted'

Please branch and build python-twisted for EPEL 9.

Comment 1 Miro Hrončok 2022-02-01 11:43:06 UTC
I am not interested in maintaining an old twisted version for a decade.

Comment 4 Olivier LAHAYE 2023-02-16 14:40:02 UTC
Please build python-twisted for EPEL9, we need it and the latest source rpm builds fine.
In order to build OSCAR Cluster packages I had to build it myself here: http://olivier.lahaye1.free.fr/OSCAR/repos/unstable/rhel-9-x86_64/
I'd like to avoid polluting my repo with non-OSCAR Cluster packages as it can be a problem if they appear in other repos with other versions.
I have no python knowledge, thus I rely on working stuffs in the hope they don't disappear.
python-twisted is a key component for apitest package.

Comment 5 Orion Poplawski 2023-02-17 02:33:50 UTC
We working on it but we're still waiting on missing dependencies.

Comment 6 Jonathan Wright 2023-03-02 21:57:27 UTC
python-incremental and python-hyperlink are in epel9 testing now. I've added overrides on them and a build from the rawhide branch succeeded.
