This bug was initially created as a copy of Bug #1775926 I am copying this bug because: When attempting to install lighttpd-fastcgi on RHEL9 and it fails due to a missing dependency for spawn-fcgi. System: Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 9.0 (Plow) / 5.14.0-70.17.1.el9_0.x86_64 Exact error: [redhat@localhost ~]$ sudo dnf install lighttpd-fastcgi Updating Subscription Management repositories. Last metadata expiration check: 1:24:29 ago on Wed 20 Jul 2022 02:41:23. Error: Problem: conflicting requests - nothing provides spawn-fcgi needed by lighttpd-fastcgi-1.4.65-2.el9.x86_64 (try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages) Note: It has been suggested in bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1758485 that spawn-fcgi is not need for this package.
